You don't have to look far to find a video-streaming service with tons of TV shows and movies to enjoy. But it is getting more difficult to find a service with a free trial so you can try out the content before forking over a subscription fee.
Fortunately, if you've recently purchased an Apple product, you're can unlock a free, three-month trial to Apple TV+. We'll show you exactly how to get Apple TV+ for free below.
What Is Apple TV+?
If you're new to the world of streaming video, Apple TV+ is Apple's own streaming service designed to compete against other big names like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video.
Originally launching in 2019, the Apple TV+ offers a wide variety of content, including both original TV shows and movies that are exclusive to the platform. All the content is available without any advertisements and the vast majority can be enjoyed in 4K HDR resolution and with Dolby Atmos sound.
You can access Apple TV+ on Apple devices, PCs, gaming consoles, streaming video boxes, and many smart TV models. The service is also available on the web at tv.apple.com.
As a nice touch, you can also download all Apple TV content to your device to watch without an internet connection for a plane ride or long car trip.

How to Get a Free Apple TV+ Trial
The three-month free trial for Apple TV+ is available to anyone who purchases a new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac from Apple or an authorized Apple retailer. The Apple Watch isn't included.
Once you set up your device, you will have 90 days to redeem the free offer. Just to note, you won't be able to redeem the offer if you've previously used any type of trial for Apple TV+.
Make sure you're signed into the device with your Apple ID. Also confirm that the device has the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, or macOS installed.
Next up, head to the Apple TV app on your device. If it's not already installed, download Apple TV for free from the App Store.
You should immediately see a dialog asking if you want to redeem the offer.
And there are other ways to receive a free trial of Apple TV+ not through Apple. For example, if you have an eligible LG TV, you can claim a three-month free trial through the TV manufacturer.
Wireless carrier T-Mobile is also offering Magenta and Magenta MAX subscribers one year of Apple TV+ for free.
Canceling Your Apple TV+ Subscription
After the free, three-month trial is complete, Apple will continue to bill you $4.99 per month for access to Apple TV+.
You will need to manually cancel if you don't want to continue after the free trial period. To do that, head to Settings and then select your name at the top of the page. Select Subscriptions and choose Apple TV. Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose Cancel.
Just to note, if for some reason you cancel your Apple TV+ subscription before the end of the free trial, you'll lose access to the streaming service and won't be able to reactivate it without paying.
