Recently, Asana unveiled a revamped Home page within the productivity app. Now, Home is a “home base” of sorts, helping you get back into your most important work fast.

With the revamp comes the ability to customize your Asana Home in a few different ways, including changing the background color and adding widgets. Let's dive in deeper.

Where Can You Find Your Asana Homepage?

Your Asana Home is super simple to find. In fact, as soon as you navigate to Asana, you'll land on your Home page first.

If for any reason, you navigate away from Home, you can go back by selecting Home (with the little house icon) from the top of the menu bar to the left of your screen.

How to Customize Your Asana Homepage

Asana is chock-full of useful hacks. And customizing your Asana Home is one of them. Currently, there are two things you can do in the Customizations menu.

First, you can change your Home's background color. You can also add, remove, or move new widgets, including:

  • Projects: This widget showcases your recent, frequent, and favorite projects for easy navigation. You can also see the number of tasks and the tasks you have due.
  • People: This widget shows the teammates you communicate with often. You can quickly assign tasks to message these teammates right from the Home page.
  • My Priorities: This widget shows your upcoming tasks, recently completed tasks, and more.
  • Private notepad: This widget is exactly what it says: a notepad for keeping notes about projects, tasks, and more.

How to Add Widgets to Your Asana Homepage

You may already have these widgets on your homepage. If you don't, they're easy to add. On your Home page, select Customize in the top right corner.

How to Change the Background Color in Asana

To change the background color, go right back into the Customizations menu. At the top of the window, you can choose from a variety of colors. Simply select one, and you're done.
