Xiaomi's customization features let you personalize your smartphone's interface to suit your preferences. These features cover everything from applying live wallpapers to installing and setting themes, and they even let you change the system font on your Xiaomi device.

You can personalize the font style or size to give your Android interface a unique look. We'll guide you through the steps to customizing the font on your Xiaomi device below.

How to Change Your Font Style on Xiaomi Devices

Changing the font on your Xiaomi device can improve the legibility, so you can read text more easily. MIUI provides inbuilt options for doing this. Changing the font is also a good way to give your UI an entirely new look, alongside trying out the best Android launchers.

There are two ways to change the font style: using the Themes app or going through the Settings.

If the Themes app is already on your home screen, then that's the easiest to use:

  1. From your home screen, launch the Themes app.
  2. From the bottom panel, navigate to the Fonts section.
  3. Browse through the font categories to find and select the one that fits your style best.
  4. You'll see a preview of the font on various different screens. If you're happy, tap Apply.

If you can't find the Themes app, you can still change the font style by going through the Settings:

  1. Open the Settings and tap Display.
  2. Select Font to automatically open the Fonts section of the Themes app.
  3. Browse through the font categories to find and select the one that fits your style best.
  4. You'll see a preview of the font on various different screens. If you're happy, tap Apply.

After selecting a font, you may need to reboot your Xiaomi device to apply it across the UI. If you're not sure how to do this, follow the instructions on the Xiaomi website.

To switch your font style back to MIUI's default font, go to My fonts, and select Roboto.

How to Change Your Font Size on Xiaomi Devices

Your phone's default font size might be too small or big for you to read clearly. To avoid constantly squinting or scrolling to read text easily, you can easily change the font size in the settings:

  1. Go to Settings > Display.
  2. Select Text size.
  3. Choose from six size options, ranging from extra-extra small (XXS) to extra-extra large (XXL).

If XXL text size isn't big enough, you can make text even bigger using the Accessibility settings:

  1. After you select XXL font size, swipe up on the Text size isn't big enough box.
  2. Tap the Accessibility > Display size to open your device's Display size settings.
  3. Switch to large (L) to increase your display size.

Changing the Accessibility display size will change all elements on the display, not just the text.
