When your academic journey has reached its dramatic conclusion, your life changes a lot. Preparing to graduate may feel daunting at first, but there are plenty of ways to get the ball rolling in your final few months as a student.

Packing it all in will likely include saying goodbye to many student-related services that you will no longer require when you leave school. If Chegg happens to be one of them, the company makes it easy to separate yourself when your time finally comes calling.

What Is Chegg?

Chegg's original claim to fame was providing broke college students everywhere with the things that they would need to succeed as academics. This mainly came in the form of providing affordable textbook rentals, both digital and physical.

The founders aspired to solve the increasingly negative toll that a highly competitive textbook industry was taking on students. Chegg's solution is to connect students with other valuable resources, such as help finding financial aid, as well as tutoring subscriptions and education on how to navigate the world of academia.

Cancelling any of these services won't be a huge hassle if you're already a subscriber. There are no contracts or cancellation fees. You are free to leave at any time.

Things to Note Before Cancelling Your Chegg Subscription

There are a couple of things to keep in mind as you prepare to cancel Chegg.

1. Your Cancellation Method Is Determined By Your Sign-Up Method

Just like with anything else, your way into the world of Chegg will also be your way out. Chegg's subscription packages come in a couple of forms: subscriptions acquired via Google Play or Apple's App Store, or those purchased through the Chegg site itself.

To cancel Chegg, simply go through whichever platform that you used to sign up in the first place. Uninstalling the app does not suspend your subscription in any way; the contract itself needs to be cancelled to make sure that you are not charged moving forward.

2. You Do Have the Option to Pause Your Subscription Instead

Chegg gives you a choice between either pausing or cancelling your service. If you're going abroad for a semester and would like to ensure that your subscription rate is locked in when you return, pausing is probably the best way for you to go.

If greener pastures are just ahead, however, letting go entirely and cancelling completely is just as easy.
