Are you in the market for a new Nintendo Switch console? As luck would have it, you can now get hold of a limited edition Monster Hunter Rise version of the popular console.

Bearing in mind that this is likely to sell fast and is a limited release, here is how to buy one of these rare beasts.

What Is the Monster Hunter Rise Edition Nintendo Switch?

The Switch creator made much of the Monster Hunter console during February's Nintendo Direct showcase.

In fact, aside from revealing some Zelda-themed Joy-Cons, the Monster Hunter Switch was the only other hardware on show during the presentation. Plus, we already knew about the special edition console.

Obviously you could plump for the standard edition Switch, which comes in black, with a black dock and red and blue Joy-Cons. However, this seems fairly vanilla when you put it up against the Monster Hunter Rise Switch.

The limited edition Switch comes in black, with gray Monster Hunter symbology on the back of the screen, giving it a tribal look. Likewise, the Joy-Cons also come in a tonal charcoal colorway, with high luster symbols on the rear face and gold accents on the front.

The dock is where all the magic happens, as it features a gold Magnamalo emblazoned across the front. In all, the package looks pretty neat. Nintendo is releasing it in the US on March 26 with an MSRP of $369.99.

Obviously, the Switch comes with a digital download code for Monster Hunter Rise and you also get some cool DLC (downloadable content) to go with it.

Where Can You Buy the Monster Hunter Rise Edition Nintendo Switch?

You can pre-order the special edition Switch from GameStop. As mentioned, this costs $369.99 and you will have to wait until release day on March 26, 2021 to receive it.

Pre-ordering the Monster Hunter Switch is probably your best chance of securing one. Keep in mind that this is a limited edition console, so supply is going to be scarce.

If you wait until release day, your best bet is probably to hit the Nintendo Store and try to grab one there. If that fails, you are likely to find the console available from Amazon, Target, Best Buy, etc.

These stores have stocked previous limited edition Switch consoles, so we can't see this being any different.

If you can't get hold of a Monster Hunter Switch, then you could get a Mario-themed Switch instead, which is also a limited edition.

Can You Get Monster Hunter Rise Switch Accessories?

You certainly can. As well as the Switch, you can also get a Switch Pro controller featuring a similar Monster Hunter Rise design to the Switch console and docking station.

The controller comes in black, with gray and gold print that emulates the designs from the Monster Hunter Rise game. The gold print to the front features Magnamalo in the same vein as the Switch docking station.

To get your hands on one, visit GameStop to place a pre-order. The Monster Hunter Switch Pro controller is available for $74.99 and is due for release on March 26, the same day as Nintendo releases the console and the Monster Hunter Rise game.
