I wanted more processing power on my Dell Inspiron 1721 laptop. It was running a AMD 1.6 ghz Turion 64 so I installed an AMD 2.0 ghz Turion 64 processor since then it would not boot up and the error code 200 - 0146. I have tried all that I know without any success. Please help me Thanks.

This error code seems to indicate various hardware errors. Most of my search results lead me to threads about damaged hard drives.Anyway, my suggestion would be to put the original processor in and see if you can boot then. If you still get this error I would try exchanging the hard drive. If you can boot with the original CPU I would say the power adapter or the internal power circuit does not offer enough power for the faster CPU.

for processor You can choose either the TL58 at a clock speed of 1.9 GHz or the TL64 at 2.2 GHz. http://www.ehow.com/info_8201895_dell-inspiron-1721-information.htmldid you try to use the older processor and try boot, if it works then perhaps you need to update BIOS.perhaps it is hard drive problemhttps://www.anrdoezrs.net/links/7251228/type/dlg/sid/UUmuoUeUpU76438/https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/quicktestHDD Regenerator 1.71http://www.hirensbootcd.org/hbcd-v106/
