Windows 7 libraries are confusing, especially since hard disks dont use pathways. I want to network boot locally, keep files sync'd even though they change while in use. Where do I get information about libraries advanced setup?

You seem to be asking about several different things, and possibly confusing them. Libraries are a feature that allows you to join several folders into a single "virtual folder" (the library) which you can browse and search. What do you mean by "network boot locally"? As Bruce points out, this is a contradiction in terms. Do you mean that you want to boot up locally (from the C: drive) and be able to access the network? That normally happens by default. Are you on a corporate network, where you log onto the PC using a domain (a.k.a "network" or "server") username and password? If so, you'll need to come back to us and explain the scenario in more detail. As for synchronising folders (or individual files) between machines, this depends somewhat on the nature of your setup, but within the home, BitTorrent Sync (not to be confused with Bittorrent generally) would be an excellent solution. Alternatively, a cloud sync' product like Dropbox, SugarSync or SpyderOak will do the job perfectly, and will also work if the two (or more) sync'ed PCs are anywhere across the internet, even if they're not switched on at the same time.

"network boot locally" - This is a contradiction. You either boot over the network or you boot locally. What files do you want to keep synced and what are you syncing with? What is confusing about libraries? Just look at the properties of whatever library you wish (including those you establish yourself) to see all of the locations of your hard drives or network locations that comprise that particular library.
