I would like to know how i can watch programs recorded from my VAST DSD4121RV satellite TV. What do I need to watch the programs on my computer?

The content that the set top box records has protections (DRM) so that only the set top box can read it. Software is not available to break these protections, so you are out of luck in trying to accomplish what you want in this way. Either you would need a TV tuner card to record the recordings onto your computer, or use the TV tuner card or other hardware to record the shows and other content directly to your computer. Wish there was a simpler solution, but copyright laws and protections are in place so that sharing of content would be less likely to happen.

Not sure how exactly you wish to view the recordings onto your computer, but this may help: http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showthread.php?p=15152619 This solution requires hardware purchases to be able to view satellite content on your computer. If you were looking to stream the DVR'ed content from your receiver to your computer similarly to DirecTV2PC app seen here: https://www.anrdoezrs.net/links/7251228/type/dlg/sid/UUmuoUeUpU77428/http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/directv/technology/directv2pc, then you may have to ask over at the OverClockers forum or at this forum: http://www.austech.info/vast/.
