Today's email from MakeUseOf had a great article on how to photograph fireworks. I'd like to keep the item for my own private use. I highlighted the article copied it and then pasted it into Microsoft Word but only the text appeared, with just a narrow blank space where the photos should be.
The text is what matters, but it's more pleasant to look at with the photos. Is it possible to save text and the photos, please?

If you're using Mac OS, the print to PDF feature is built into the OS. From pretty much any any application (including web browsers) select "Print...", then go to the PDF drop down of the print dialog box and select "Save as PDF..." or any of the other similar choices.

I bookmark the URLs of the articles I'm interested in. Bookmarks take up lots less space than entire pages.

I've just tried this within LibreOffice, and the results were not bad, not bad at all... That said, web pages do not lend themselves to being saved as word-processable files, and if you want to keep the article for the record, there are several better alternatives:1. Print it as a PDF. Use a PDF creator like PDFIll Free Tools, Cute PDF Writer or any of the many other free tools available, and "print" the article to it. For best results, highlight the body of the article and when you bring up the print dialogue box, choose to print the selection only (rather than all pages). This will result in a PDF of the article itself.2. Bookmark it in your browser" MUO articles have a fixed address, so if you keep the address in your bookmarks (or favourites, if you're an IE kind of guy), you'll always be able to get back to it.

There isn't an easy way to get a web page saved into Word format, but you can use a PDF print driver (included with the free Nitro PDF Reader, for example as well as paid solutions such as novaPDF) to "print" (save) a file as PDF instead. This gives you exactly what you see on the screen as a single PDF file retaining all text and images. In most cases, links that are embedded will still work as well. (I have only seen one that didn't work from the PDF and I have saved hundreds of them.)You could also save the web page to your hard drive by using File - Save Page As... and saving either the complete web page or just the HTML. In your case, you would want 'complete' so it also creates a linked directory to the images included on the page.
