Simply you can use a memory card recovery software or removable media recovery software to recover your data.

I am also missing something here. Can't you always retrieve/read/copy a corrupt file even if it is read only which think is all write protection on the memory stick does.If you are having trouble reading the file period try Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier: http://www.roadkil.net/listing.php/C1/Data%20Recovery. once you get some kind of file back, apply the appropriate corrupt repair program to the recovered file.

You could try Recuva (from piriform.com).The fact that the drive is locked is not a problem (you should be reading from it and writing onto your hard disc), but as Alan says, something in your question doesn't make sense. Are you trying to recover an earlier version of the file?

You might have locked your Adapter Accidentally! To lock you would have to press down and your memory card would be locked! Make sure that lock is turned off and then try recovering data using Recuva (http://www.piriform.com/recuva)
