My HP laptop has no disk drive. How can I get a hold of Windows 7 recovery disks and what do I do with them since I lack a drive? Is this even the proper solution to an unending Safe Mode start-up loop? And what was I thinking when I ditched Apple? Help!

There are a number of options: 1) since you're using HP there should be a recovery partition on the drive, you need to google how to access it for your computer. 2) USB live drive-this is the same thing as a cd only in USB flashdrive form, just make sure your computer can boot from USB.

You should use a recovery partition, if you don't have one (but you probably do) I would check on the website of HP. The eason is that OEM versions of Windows often can only be recovered by the recovery discs of the laptop manufacturer.
