I have noticed that when someone comments and/or likes a photo in an album of mine it suddenly appears in my Facebook global timeline.

How can i disable that ?

or you can select it and "Hide it from Timeline", instead. Facebook's Edgerank will be smart enough to help you get rid of those annoy things.

There is a setting you can change to control what images show up on your timeline it's located in your privacy settings. https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=privacy&ref=mb&privacy_source=settings_menu
