I have an iPod touch and a BlackBerry, and have my Contacts synced between them using Google Contacts. A while ago, I stupidly added all of my Facebook friends emails to my Contacts list, so I now have ~800 Contacts, mostly just names and emails.

I am getting a new BlackBerry soon, and would like to somehow only keep the contacts that have phone numbers on my phone, and possibly have all the emails in the same account, or backed up somewhere else that I can access them if I need them.

So how can I do this? I attempted it before, by exporting to CSV then just trying to delete every row that didn't contain a number, but it was too hard to automate and would take too long to do manually. Someone please give me a solution!

I exported to CSV, organised them to just have mobile numbers and names, but I cannot get it to have a 0 at the beginning of the numbers, so they are all just '745678914' or '123982302'. I have tried doing Find and Replace, and formatting the cells but can't work out how to add it, or even +44 instead. (I'm in the UK btw)

Create groups. Also make sure when you import them that you go through all your contacts, and see that it imported them right. Organization takes time to make sure it's all be done properly.

If contacts that are truly important to you aren't that many, may I suggest you to purge the current contacts and input those who are important again?

Note : I just mistyped, you should sort by numers, not e-mail.

First export your Google Contacts as CSV, then open it in Excel or other spreadsheet program. Sort them using e-mail adress column and find the empty ones easily, delete those unwanted rows (lines). Save the CSV file. Now go to Google Contacts, either delete all the contacts or move them to another group, after that import your CSV file and voila, you're done.
