Hisense has revealed a bounty of brand new laser TVs at CES 2021, and they are some of the most exciting we have seen to date.

The Chinese brand plans to release its all-singing, all-dancing device in 2021, so let's take a look at the specs of this visual tour de force.

Introducing Hisense's New TriChroma Laser TV

CES 2021 has launched and the first brand up to bat is Hisense. The rapidly growing display creator has come up with a whole new range of TriChroma laser TVs, and some of them even have screens built-in!

The Hisense Laser TV screens come in a range of sizes, from the smallest 75 inch display, to the largest, which is 100 inches. Plenty of real estate to watch movies and play games here, then.

Not only that, but gone are the days of shopping for a display screen to go with your new laser TV. Some of Hisense's new TriChroma Laser TVs have a display built in, which extends upwards automatically when your power on the device.

This has the advantage that you already know that the screen material is perfect for the laser TV, so your image should be faultless.

What Else Is Special About Hisense's TriChroma Laser TVs?

Hisense's chief display scientist, Dr. Liu Xianrong, explains the concept of Hisense's brand new laser TV range:

From dual color to full color, we have achieved a 128% improvement in the original RGB color. The TV’s highest color gamut standard can reach 107% BT2020. The three primary color light sources, with extremely high color purity, bring an amazing color performance. The color gamut coverage can reach up to 151% of the DCI-P3 film color standard, which is almost 50% beyond high-end cinema.

Truly the epitome of "home theater" then, if these claims are true. The Hisense TriChroma Laser TVs sound fantastic on paper.

This is a DLP TV. This means it uses a process known as pixel-shifting to display an image in 4K or 8K, when the native resolution of the device is actually only 1080p. Each pixel is moved 0.5 pixels in each direction, making for a smoother image and one that matches 4K or 8K TVs.

Do You Need a Laser TV?

The great thing about laser TVs (which are essentially short throw projectors much like the VAVA) is that they take up so little space then compared to a TV.

Sure, you need a screen, but some the devices from Hisense, here, actually feature a built-in display, so you wouldn't even need to fix anything to your wall. You can hang some artwork on the wall, which is on display when the screen isn't in use.

Because they sit so close to the wall, all you really need to ensure is that you have the room for the display and for the projector itself (they can be fairly heavy, so keep this in mind).

An Exciting 2021 for Hisense

Hisense may have only launched its first 100 inch laser TV in 2014, but this has been an excellent foundation upon which its engineers and scientists could build; the evidence is all here with Hisense's 2021 Trichroma TVs.
