Hackers like Ankit Fadia. How are they different from others? Have they developed some new software or do they just do it with pre-existing software? If they use software, what programing language would they use?

when you will be able understand all low level languages and all types of programmings for example like write a code for sensor to get the data and provide the real time interactions including network communication protocols and their codes and at the same type you understands all the aspects of cryptography then you will be one of the best programmers or hackers

The great hackers do not often get caught.

the 'ordinary ones' usually are script kiddies or use softwares with GUI running with default settings and using vulnerabilities and exploits discovered and developed by the 'great hackers'the 'great' find vulnerabilities and use command lines most of the time, tweaking softwares/scripts. also, great hackers read lots and learn about the system being targetted (background and indepth knowledge - as portrayed in the movie Cybertraque) while ordinary ones just play around with the buttons/options in softwares

Thanks for giving us such a question to answer! The answer is well, simple, they are great! :)Just kidding! ;)Well, Ankit is a 'white-hat hacker' or an ethical hacker. The help in securing our data and systems from the 'hackers', who use various methods to 'hack' into them using various methods and the white ones provide defense against such. Also, what we call a 'hacker', the one who hacks is what is called a 'cracker'!The hacker is anyone who just knows very well about computers, take me as an example, if I am! :) ;)

The variety of the term hacker has already been explained...As for usage and developing software, tools, scripts, I think it always depends on what you want to do or proof. If there is a tool that does the job you are looking for there is no point developing your own. If the tool only does half of it you adapt, enhance, develop it to the point where it fulfills your needs. That's the point of being a hacker. As for security related work both are valid methods. If you want to proof a system being insecure you want to use tools widely available via Google as it shows that anyone with little research or knowledge could do it. If you want to proof your skills as an expert you'll probably use tools or methods previously unknown or non-existent.

The term Hacker used to mean someone who was able to program code but it has now developed into the thought of criminal intent. The attributes are generally similar. An ability to visualise what a set of instruction will become, the ability to problem solve and find workarounds to issues that arise. Lateral thinking is good.

there is another term too called crackers. In a sense they are also hackers because they break codes or passwords only. Good or bad... it depends on them. The different definitions of hackers are:1. A person who enjoys exploring the details of programmable systems and how to stretch their capabilities, as opposed to most users, who prefer to learn only the minimum necessary.2. One who programs enthusiastically (even p g y (obsessively) or who enjoys programming rather than just theorizing about programming.3. A person capable of appreciating {hack value}.4. A person who is good at programming quickly. Your answer: I believe great hackers always know a way around. Because they have a better knowledge of the systems and the softwares they use. Even a simple hacker would know the software but the details and applications are only known to experienced ones. Also they know what they are going to do and how they are going to do it. I mean, they understand the system first before going inside it. They also know how to remove their footprints. hope that helps :)
