Super Bowl Sunday is coming up, and it will bring us the usual combination of a game of football, an extravagant halftime show (this year by Rihanna), and some expensive ads by some of the world's biggest brands.

This year, Google released its Pixel 7 Super Bowl ad early. The ad shows off the Pixel phones' camera trickery in all its glory, with stars like comedian Amy Schumer and rapper Doja Cat using the device to fix their old photos by removing blur—or their exes.

You can watch the ad now, ahead of the game which takes place on February 12th.

Google's 2023 Super Bowl Ad

The 90-second Google Super Bowl ad puts the Pixel 7's exclusive camera capabilities up front and center. Called "Fixed on Pixel," it opens with a montage of treasured personal photos ruined by photobombers and other problems and then explains how tools like Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur can fix them.

And then we see Amy Schumer using it to erase ex-boyfriends from her pictures, basketball star Giannis Antetokounmpo removing fellow players from his action shots, and musician Doja Cat fixing some blurry red carpet pics.

It's no surprise that the ad puts all the attention on the Pixel's camera skills as they are by far the features with the biggest mainstream appeal. Last year's Super Bowl ad took a similar route, looking at the phone's Real Tone feature that can reproduce more accurate skin tones.

The ad will be shown during Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, February 12th, which is being played between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. There are many ways to watch the game. Even if you don't have cable, you can stream the Super Bowl online.

Pixel 7 Tricks

Launched late last year, the Pixel 7 series has become Google's most successful range of phones to date. And it's no surprise. They're priced well and pack a range of unique features that combine the best of Google with a fast and clean version of Android.
