Isn't it fun when you buy a piece of tech and learn that the developers included Easter eggs in the device for you to find? Well, that is exactly what the developers at Google did when creating Google Home products.

If you have a Google Nest Mini on hand and want to discover what Easter Eggs it has in store for you, here are some of the best ones to get you started.

1. "Hey Google, Who’s the Fairest of Them All?"

We all know that Snow White is the fairest of them all, but why don't you try asking your Google Nest to learn the real answer?

My friend, my friend, that is you. I think you're fair and lovely, too.

Well, thank you, Google!

2. "Hey Google, Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, B, A"

This video game cheat code first came out in the shooter game Contra and has been a cool Easter egg in the gaming community ever since. Let's see if Google Nest also has one:

You've unlocked *drum roll noises* cheat mode.

Of course, the cheat mode doesn't really do anything, but it's definitely a cool party trick!

3. "Hey Google, Spin the Wheel"

Want a little pick-me-up to get you alive and kicking for the day? Let Google Nest spin the wheel:

*spinning wheel noises* My old friend, the wheel of fun, told me to compliment you.

It will then tell you a nice, little praise that'll surely make you blush. You can also get a song or a corny pickup line depending on your luck.

4. "OK Google, Do a Barrel Roll"

You may have known about the Google search engine's barrel roll trick, but did you know that your Google Nest can do that too?

Okay, let's see if I can pull this off. *drum roll noises* Nailed it.

This is definitely one of the funny things to ask the Assistant, and it's fun to imagine it really doing the barrel roll.

5. "OK Google, What Sound Does a Unicorn Make?"

Unless you're a fairy or leprechaun who came from the world of magic, you probably don't know what a unicorn sounds like. But apparently, Google Nest does:

This is a unicorn. *horse noises with sparkles*

And now you know, too.

6. "OK Google, Tell Me What You Want, What You Really, Really Want"

It has been almost three decades since the Spice Girls' Wannabe hit the record stores, but this lyric is just as iconic as it first came out. In fact, even Google Nest knows the response to "Tell me what you want, what you really really want."

Zig-a-zig ah.

If you want to hear the rest of this Spice Girls hit song, make sure you've set a default music streaming service on your Google Home device.

7. "OK Google, Never Gonna Give You Up"

Speaking of iconic song lyrics, Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up is definitely on top of the list. And every time you say this to Google Nest, here's its response:

Oh Rick, you always know the right thing to say.

And we agree! That song really is uplifting in a way.

8. "OK Google, Are We in the Matrix?"

Keanu Reeves' 1999 sci-fi movie has everybody wondering if we are in a simulation. Here's what Google Nest has to say about that:

Would you like the red pill or the blue pill? I can give you directions to the nearest drug store.

Well, we'll probably never know if we're in the matrix or not.

9. "Hey Google, I Solemnly Swear That I’m Up to No Good"

If Harry Potter has the Marauder's Map, you have Google Nest. Just say the magic words, and it will tell you exactly where everyone is.

Harry's inside the Room of Requirement. Ron is sneaking extra dessert from the house elves. And I'm here, helping you.

10. "Hey Google, Happy Halloween"

Up for some spooky entertainment? Google Nest has your back. Just greet it with a "Happy Halloween," and it will respond with:

*spooky background music* Happy Halloween. I have some tricks and treats just for you.

No, it doesn't mean candy. But your Google Nest can sing you a spooky Halloween song or ask you a mind-boggling riddle.

11. "Hey Google, It’s Not My Birthday"

When you tell your Google Nest that it's your birthday, it will sing you a Happy Birthday. But what if you did the opposite and told it that it's not your birthday?

You know what? I think it's fine to celebrate you any day.

Yes, definitely. Every day ought to feel like a celebration.

12. "OK Google, Do You Want to Build a Snowman?"

Disney's Frozen has left a mark on both kids and adults across the globe. And apparently, Google Nest loves the movie just as much. When asked if it wants to build a snowman, your Assistant will reply with:

Sure. The cold never bothered me anyway.

And it doesn't bother us, too!

13. "OK Google, Rock, Paper, Scissors"

This is one of the Google Home commands for mini-games that you should definitely not miss out on.

Okay, get ready. After I say shoot, make your choice. *trumpet sounds* Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!

You then have to say your weapon of choice before Google Nest replies with either a win or a loss.

14. "OK Google, Cheers!"

It doesn't matter if you're actually drinking or just wanted to say, "Cheers;" Google Nest will always be happy to do a toast:

Cheers to our long and happy friendship!

And hopefully, that means many years to come!

15. "Hey Google, Roses Are Red"

"Roses are Red" has evolved from being a children's rhyme to a cheesy pickup line. Even Google Nest has a silly twist to this classic love poem:

And the sky is blue. And the grass is green. And I love helping you.

Apparently, your smart speaker also knows how to rhyme!

16. "OK Google, Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?"

This has been a puzzling question for ages, but let's see if Google Nest has the answer. After all, it holds almost all the information of the world.

So many roads, lots of chickens. You'd think we'd know by now.

Unfortunately, even one of the smartest devices on the planet doesn't know why the chicken crossed the road.

Hey Google, What Else Do You Have for Me?

This list of Easter Eggs isn't exhaustive, so don't just stop here. There are dozens of other silly commands you can try with your smart device, but it's more exciting if you discover them yourself!
