Two things that tend to go together are the internet and television. Traditional ISPs usually bundle cable and internet together.

Google does things a little differently, offering streaming alternatives with Google Fiber instead of conventional cable.

Previously, Google offered YouTube TV, fuboTV, and Philo. Now, as detailed on the Google Fiber Blog, the company is bolstering its offerings by adding Sling TV to its roster.

Google Fiber's Cable Alternatives

As mentioned, Google previously offered YouTube TV, fuboTV, and Philo as choices to go along with its blazing fast internet. By adding Sling, it gives Google Fiber customers an excellent mid-priced option, as fuboTV and YouTube TV are a bit closer to traditional cable in price. Philo is also affordable, but it doesn't offer as many channels as Sling.

Sling subscriptions start at $30/month, and they offer a good selection of channels, including live sports. While it doesn't beat fuboTV when it comes to sports, comparing the price of the two makes Sling TV a pretty good option.

Where Is Google Fiber Available?

Unfortunately, Google Fiber isn't available everywhere. But if you're lucky enough to live in an area with Google's ISP, you should consider signing up.

Currently, Google Fiber is available in the following cities: Atlanta, GA, Austin, TX, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, Huntsville, AL, Kansas City, KS, Kansas City, MO, Miami, FL, Nashville, TN, Oakland, CA, Orange County, CA, Provo, UT, San Antonio, TX, San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA, Salt Lake Valley, UT, Seattle, WA, The Triangle, NC, and West Des Moines, IA.

Of course, whether you live in one of those cities or not, you can still sign up for Sling TV, YouTube TV, fuboTV, or Philo.
