I have a Samsung Galaxy 2 phone and Gmail. They are not synched but when I go to message someone on my phone contacts, Google contacts show up there. There are no contacts saved in my Gmail. How do I delete them from my phone so they stop showing up? I don't have their email addresses saved anywhere, yet they keep popping up in my messages.

It seems that sometime in point of your phone usage,it might had got synced with Google servers.Contacts which gets synced with Google servers have g symbol besides the contact name.If you don't like such thing, then backup your contact in .csv format using an app -

Respected,If you are using Gmail on android, it is very possible that such situation may arise. It is happening because Google still has a list of emails to whom you sent emails earlier and it knows names of people using those emails. If you don't like it, use other Email Apps like MailDroid. Thanks.
