I'm looking to buy an Android phone, but don't plan to use a data plan on it, only WiFi for email, apps, and music.
Are there any good devices out there that are ready for this kind of thing? If so, how would I go about buying one without a SIM card? Thanks.

It's true. I looked into this extensively and that's by far the cheapest way to get an Android phone. Not a lot of minutes but still a very good deal.

You could get the lg optimus v from virgin mobile. Its 35 dollars a month unlimited data and texting plus 300 minutes. Virgin rins on sprints network and its the best bang for your buck and the optimus v only costs 150 dollars. If you want something a little more high end the motorolla triumph is 300 dollars and there is no contract for any of this.
