An app to catalogue what's inside my external drives?

Hello, I remember many years ago my brother used a program called Mac292 to catalogue his big collection of MP3 discs. The program let him scan all the audio files of a CD and then save the list to a database. That way, he could then search for a song and the program would tell him in which CD that song was and the path without him having to insert the discs one by one and looking for the file.

Well, I'm looking for something similar but with no restriction on file type, so that I can know what's inside of each of external drives without having to plug them by by one each time I need a specific file. I don't care if the program can tell the genre of a song or the year of a movie. It would be a big plus if the program can inform of duplicate files :)

Thank you!
