You will now be able to play the long awaited Cyberpunk 2077 via your Nvidia GeForce Now account, as long as you already own it on GOG.

Get Cyberpunk 2077 on GeForce Now

If you have a GeForce Now account and a GOG account, then you'll soon find that you can stream the forthcoming CD Projekt title, Cyberpunk 2077, on any device.

In a news post, GOG has confirmed that it joins the likes of Steam, Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft+ as another platform available via GeForce Now.

This means that you can access any games you own on GOG through Nvidia's GeForce Now service, including Cyberpunk 2077.

As of December 10th, subscribers to both services can stream the GOG version of the hotly anticipated title via GeForce Now.

Do You Need a GOG account to Access Cyberpunk 2077?

If you want to play the GOG version of the Cyberpunk 2077 title, then yes, you will need a GOG account. You can create one on GOG.com.

However, you don't need Nvidia GeForce Now to access the GOG version of the game. You can access it directly through GOG. Nvidia GeForce Now just allows you to access the title anywhere, with no PC or laptop needed.

It seems a little confusing that we can access one cloud gaming platform within another cloud gaming platform, especially given that most people don't even know what cloud gaming is.

Are There Too Many Cloud Gaming Platforms?

Cloud gaming, despite not being new, is relatively unheard of. According to Statista, the cloud gaming market was worth a fairly modest $0.5 billion in 2020, although that is likely to grow.

So it would seem that the industry still has some way to go in terms of cloud gaming. If we can access cloud gaming platforms within other cloud gaming services, is this sector at risk of over-saturating a market before it is ready?
