I'm using Xtreemhost for my hosting needs. But the problem is that they disabled Curl and fopen() along with many others in free hosting plans a few months ago. So, I can't install WordPress plugins like Disqus. Though I've found curl and fopen()-enabled free hosts, they don't have such a good control panel as Xtreemhost. Any suggestion?

Wait, how did you do it? I'm going through the same problem. I use xtreemhost and I want to install plugins but it won't let me use cURL so I can't get disqus comments to work. How did you do it? What scripts? Help me please.

Actually, I think I don't need to use 000webhost, I can enable most of the plugins using scripts. Anyway, Xtreemhost provides 50 add-on domains, 50 sub-domains and 5GB of space. Much bigger than what others offer. So, according, to me, anyone who doesn't need too many plugins, can and should use Xtreemhost.

It looks like 000webhost supports curl and fopen. They offer a pretty decent service and I think a stripped down version of cpanel.You might also try byethost, but I'm not sure if they do, otherwise they offer a good service.

Does it support Curl, fopen() and others. I don't want to use it as it limits no. of visitors per month to 2000. If you have a really good month for your website, this could be the deal-breaker.
