We're living through a time when most in-person events are being canceled. So many of us are looking online to get our entertainment fix.

In a bid to get our attention, Twitch has teamed up with hip-hop festival Rolling Loud to broadcast three exclusive virtual music festivals.

The Rolling Loud Music Festival Comes to Twitch

Rolling Loud is an annual hip-hop festival that began in 2015. Shows have been held in American cities such as Miami, Oakland, and Los Angeles, and more recently in global locations like Australia and Portugal.

Some big artists have headlined, including Future, J. Cole, and Travis Scott. If you're a hip-hop fan, Rolling Loud is the festival for you.

A festival was due to take place in May 2020, but has been delayed until February 2021 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. As such, Rolling Loud has been thinking how to plug that gap.

The solution is a partnership with Twitch. The live-streaming service will play host to three exclusive virtual festivals, which will see music stars perform live over five hours.

The first festival, dubbed the "Loud Stream", is due to be broadcast on Twitch on September 12 and 13. The line-up has yet to be announced, but hopefully we can expect star performers.

According to Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif, those artists will take time during each set to engage with the virtual audience and the chat.

Rolling Loud Streams Daily on Twitch

In addition to the live stream festivals, Rolling Loud is broadcasting every weekday on its Twitch channel.

Each day will bring a different show. For example, "Loud Gaming" on Mondays will see musicians go up against professional gamers, and "The Leak" on Thursdays will showcase music from rising hip-hop stars.

Anyone Can Be a Star on Twitch

The partnership with Rolling Loud is the latest move into the music industry from Twitch. It comes after the company signed rapper Logic into an exclusive game streaming contract.

Of course, it isn't just well-known names who can stream live on Twitch. Anyone can build an audience and try to make a living through Twitch.
