I have a list of settings to restore after Windows 7 re-installation, but it got pretty long.
I'd like to know if there was a tool that would do that for me - e.g. I select Skype history, WinSCP stored sessions or whatever, the tool finds and copies relevant data, stores it somewhere and I restore it after new installation.

Thanks for quick answer... Could have Googled it, but I wanted to see if someone had some reliable solution.

Well this depends soft and function. What you are trying to do is specific to your aim, so you have to adjust the backup soft accordingly. There is a script her for winscphttp://winscp.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2031http://www.ghacks.net/2009/08/19/how-to-backup-winscp-sessions/PuTTY Session Manager (PSM)http://puttysm.sourceforge.net/Niksaverhttp://www.niksaver.com/backup_skype_settings.phpFor skypeLocate the folder Application DataSkype (your username) and copy it to another location. To restore the history files just copy the files back to that folder.G-Recorderhttp://g-recorder.com/SkyHistory freewarehttp://scand.com/products/skyhistory/index.html store chat history on a flash drive, allow/disallow storing chat history for any contact...perhaps to make a slipstream windows 7 dvdhttp://www.rt7lite.com/
