Have you ever dreamed of wandering around Yoshi's Island? How about stepping (with trepidation, of course) into the Valley of Bowser?

Well, now you can, because Nintendo of America has invited everyone to head down to Super Nintendo Land for a whistlestop tour of the theme park locations.

Super Nintendo World Direct

Nintendo of America has invited everyone to come and see the brand new Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios.

In a tweet, the Mario creator has announced that, on December 18th, Nintendo fans can join a tour of Super Nintendo World in Japan's Universal Studios

Don't worry about social distancing or booking an expensive last-minute flight, though, as the tour is virtual, so everyone can go!

How Do You Attend the Super Nintendo World Direct Tour?

You don't actually have to attend anything, you just need a device capable of accessing the internet and a stable internet connection.

The tour is virtual, so there won't actually be anyone in the theme park. You might not see things close up, but at least you don't have to wait 6 hours for a three-minute ride on real-life Mario Kart (hopefully they haven't installed a Rainbow Road track - that could prove costly in terms of insurance).

To attend, you just need to head to the Super Nintendo World Direct website. The tour starts at 15:00 PT / 18:00 ET, so get there early so you don't miss out on any cool theme park attractions.

What Can You See on the Super Nintendo World Direct Tour?

The tour is only going to last 15 minutes or so (Nintendo is far too busy breaking sales records to be staying in theme parks for too long) so you probably won't see a great deal.

Nintendo has said that there will be no video game content, so don't be holding out for any of that. The tour is likely to include a quick overview of the theme park's major attractions.

From computer-generated mock-ups of the theme park, it looks like you will can take a look around Bowser's dungeons and Princess Peach's castle, as well as numerous other iconic Super Mario landmarks.

Hopefully, those Thwomps aren't active or Universal Studios Japan may have a lawsuit or two on their hands.

Now You Can "Visit" Super Nintendo World

OK, so you can't physically visit the theme park, but this is the closest you will get for the time being.

Fans expect a lot from Nintendo's "Direct" livestreams; mainly news about new games they are excited to see launch. However, as Nintendo says, there won't be any video game footage or announcements at the Super Nintendo World Direct event.

If you can't make it to the livestream, then you could always watch it again in the replay. In the meantime, there are plenty of other ways to get your Nintendo fix.
