I am planning on building a new computer next year around November. I am watching for new technologys that will be out by then such as AMD's new K11.

I read MakeUseOf (obviously) and from Maximum PC's website.

Does anyone else know a good source to hear and learn about up and coming technologys like that?

James,Keep in mind that most of the PC peripherals are top notch at the moment are going to become mainstream with 1 year time. The prices will drop considerably as well. My point is if you're tight on funds it doesn't really make sense to build a system using LATEST processors, graphics card etc. Go for the best ones of a previous year and you're likely to end up with an equally good system for a considerably lower price. My 2 cents :-)

Honestly, it doesn't make much sence to spin your head around the topic now. Planning 11 Months ahead is a VERY long time considering the current rate of technology development.I usually start planning a new system 2 months ahead (tops) and keep making changes until <5 days before purchase duo to price-changes, deals etc...Anyways, you probably want to visit the following series on bit-tech to get the general idea of what's making sense to buy at the moment:http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/buyers-guide/Although I don't read it myself regularly I think www.fudzilla.com offers a good overview about upcomming hardware and technology.
