Google Reader does a great job organizing your RSS feeds, and Reeder wonderfully integrates Google Reader on your Mac. There's no shortage of ways to access those RSS feeds, but part of the problem remains.

The menu bar on my Mac gets more attention these days than the Dock. The reason for this is quite simple - it's incredibly compact and dynamic in comparison. One menu bar application will show you an unread count of your email inbox, but remain unobtrusive. That application is accompanied by numerous useful tools and system settings that are within easy reach without taking up a lot of screen real-estate.

The coders at iThink Software also got annoyed with Apple Preferences and decided to write MenuPrefs in order to make it more manageable. Now, instead of click after click, you can now access all of your favourite Apple Preference Panes via the Menu Bar. It's all just there.
