Facebook has unveiled a colorful new look for Messenger. The messaging platform now has a redesigned logo, as well as new customization features that can spruce up your conversations.

Messenger Gets More Personality

The Messenger redesign transforms Messenger's logo from plain, solid blue to a vibrant gradient. Stan Chudnovsky, vice president of Messenger notes in a post on the Messenger News page that the "new logo reflects a shift to the future of messaging, a more dynamic, fun, and integrated way to stay connected to the people you’re close to."

In addition to the logo makeover, Messenger is also giving you more tools to customize your messages. Messenger introduced new themes, such as love and tie-dye, which change the look of your chats. The platform added new custom reactions as well.

According to the post, the integration between Messenger and Instagram will be "rolled out to most users in North America soon." This means we may also see Messenger's new selfie sticker and vanish mode features soon.

Most users are concerned about privacy---what will happen to user information when it's grouped under the massive umbrella of Instagram and Messenger?
