I have received notifications from Facebook via my Yahoo email address, but when I click on the link the page opens in another username with a first name the same as mine. When I click on their settings, it shows that they are using my Yahoo email address. I cannot log in using my password, or delete my account, as every time I try to do so, my page comes up with the other users details. It seems that FB has changed my identity and I cannot understand how that happens. I cannot contact FB using my own identity to inform them that my account has been hacked into or changed by them.

I think your account has been hi-jacked.

As long as your email is attached with the account you can just request a link to reset password and fix it .

You could have been phished. What that basically means, is that you got tricked into logging into a "clone" of the facebook log in. When you logged in using the fake clone, someone got your login information. It can happen for your bank account, fakebook, email, or anything you can log into online. More info can be fine at wikipedia if you are interested.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PhishingLike "susendeep dutta" said, report it to facebook and use the resources they have available for resolving such issues. Also, change your passwords so that the other individual no longer can log into your accounts.

The best thing for you to do is report the fake profile, and go through changing all your passwords to something more secure. Make sure you don't reuse your passwords for all sites, and also make sure that your email is the most secure, as that is the central hub for one's online security. If you lose access to your email, all accounts registered with it can easily be compromised.
