I spend quite a bit of time teaching people to make use of seemingly complex technology, and I've found that for teachings things like this there's only one method that really works. Sit behind the people who need to learn, and talk people through doing it themselves. Do not (I repeat: do not) take control the mouse and keyboard to "show" them how to do it, no matter how impatient you might feel. Simply talk them through it, being courteous and helpful. Because people are doing things themselves, and not merely hearing you explain how to do it, they'll learn a lot faster. As teachers they'll really understand what you're trying to do and appreciate it.This, combined with access to helpful resources such as those Angela linked to, will go a long way.

K, we’ve published several articles on using Wiki. For example, here’s one that is about Zim, a Wiki client that makes it easier to build a desktop wiki (http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/zim-desktop-wiki-life-universe/)Here’s our other wiki related articles: http://www.makeuseof.com/tags/wiki/

I guess I didn't phrase it correctly... I am working with elementary and middle school teachers who need to understand the concept of how a Wiki works. I just wondered if there were any "easy to understand" materials that I could use to help them understand. But thanks for the other info... I love it...just have to get them over this first hump!
