Hello, if you are sure that your system is compatible to run windows 7, the problem could be that you have a bad image on disk.  Did you buy the windows 7 installation disk? or did you download it and burned it yourself?  If you downloaded the image and burned it yourself, it could be that you burned the image to dvd using a speed to high.  When burning images to dvd the maximum speed recommended to burn it at is 4x, if you use a speed higher than that, it could cause errors in the burning.   Also did you check to see if the hash of the file posted online matches the hash of your image? If you bought the installation disk, make sure to check the disk for scratches, fingerprints, dust, etc., because they can cause crc errors when reading the disk.  Also you make sure that your dvd/cd drive is clean so that it does not cause errors when burning.

This is a hexadecimal error informing you that one or more required installation files could not be found or transferred. This error usually only occurs when you're trying to install a system that's already booted. First, put in the CD and restart. That should launch the installation media. If not, we will have to edit your BIOS boot settings.1. Disable any security software before attempting to upgrade or do a clean install.2. Make sure your computer is updated (devices and applications)3. Disconnect any external devices before installing.4. Check your hard disk for any errors:Click StartType: CMD, from the results, right click CMDClick 'Run as Administrator'At the Command Prompt, type: chkdsk /rWhen you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and attempts will be made to correct them. Also, run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, it will scan your system and provide a report telling you if your PC can run Windows 7 and if there are any known compatibility issues with your programs or hardware.Credit: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/error-0x80070001-cannot-copy-files-needed-for/e2b51d33-adad-43a1-b37f-19537bdfee2a
