Whenever I click on an email link on a website, Windows 7 starts opening infinite tabs, forcing me to shut down. What can be done about this?

Make sure you click the email links only once.(which browser do you use ?)Set gmail to open email links.Firefox :tools>options>applications, type : mailto :Use Gmail > OkDid it stop infinite tabs ?

Hello, what browser are you using? Have you checked if there is a default email client set? Checking default email client set in Firefox:http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Changing%20the%20e-mail%20program%20used%20by%20FirefoxInternet Explorer 8:-- open internet explorer-- click on tools-- select internet options-- click on Programs tab-- click on down arrow next to E-mail entry and select a default email client -- click on apply and then ok -- try Internet Explorer 9:-- click on internet explorer-- click on tools-- select internet options-- click on Programs tab-- scroll down till bottom of page-- find the mailto entry-- to change or set a default email, highlight the mailto entry-- click on change program button on top right hand side of screen-- select an option in box that shows-- click on ok-- restart browser and try

1) open Internet Explorer and click on General and then Internet Options.2)Now click on the Settings button under the Tabs section3)under the heading “When a pop-up is encountered”, choose let internet explorer decide how pop-ups should open, if this dont work then perhaps Always open pop-ups in a new tab.4) Check also open links from other programs in: A New tab in the current Windowif this dont work then perhaps to reset internet explorer 1)Go To internet Options2)Click on Advanced settings3)Click on Reset
