Apart from integration with Facebook, it is a vision to acquire a fruitful ad platform in upcoming days. It is understood that whatsapp has capability to engage users with their free services. It could be a great source of ad campaigns that will be increased Facebook's revenue in exponential rate.

Good question!. I believe the integration will require Whatsapp users to login using their FB account. Other users can see your WhatsApp Users(friends) in your FB contact list giving them visibility to your contacts on WhatsApp.

I expect very little to change, certainly in the short-term. In the statement announcing the acquisition, Facebook made it clear that WhatsApp will continue along its current projectory."Facebook fosters an environment where independent-minded entrepreneurs can build companies, set their own direction and focus on growth while also benefiting from Facebook’s expertise, resources and scale. This approach is working well with Instagram, and WhatsApp will operate in this manner. WhatsApp’s brand will be maintained; its headquarters will remain in Mountain View, CA; Jan Koum will join Facebook’s Board of Directors; and WhatsApp’s core messaging product and Facebook’s existing Messenger app will continue to operate as standalone applications. "The mention of Instagram is important, as it suggests Facebook is going to run WhatsApp in a similar way.
