My roommate loves his new iPhone 4S, but hates that he forgot to find out when and how to move his contacts to the new phone. Currently, his contacts are trapped on a Samsung Galaxy II (that powers up fine etc, but has no phone service anymore.) His destination is a new iPhone 4S with SPRINT cellular service.

So, what's the best way (or easiest way) to transfer contacts from an out of service Galaxy II to the iPhone 4S?

Thanks in advance,

Hey! I had this exact same problem. Download the app "Migration+" (It's free for the Android Market as well as the App Store) Sign up and sign in on both of your devices and it'll tell you what to do from there! Here's a link:http://www.intuvio.com/migration-.htmlThe only downside is that it takes $0.99 to transfer the contacts after you've downloaded the app. But it's worth it because of how fast and simple it is!

1. Transfer your contacts to your Galaxy SD card by going to your Galaxy contact list, clicking on the menu button > improt/export contacts > export to SD card2. on your computer, download and run copytrans contacts:http://www.copytrans.net/iphone-contacts.php and connect your iPhone.3. connect the SD card to your computer and navigate to the location where you saved the contacts file should be a file named "contacts.vcf"4. With copytrans contacts window open, drag and drop the "contacts.vcf" file to the program window5. this will import your Galaxy contacts directly to your iPhone Contacts app.

Usually when you setup your Android phone your contacts are synchronized to Google Contacts. In that case he would only have to setup the Google Account on his iPhone to get them.Other then that contacts can be synchronized via USB connection to a computer and then to the iPhone or using WiFi and a service like Google Contacts, a free Lookout Mobile account (backup to MyLookout, restore to iPhone) or whatever else you can come up.
