I'm using µTorrent on a Mac and see that the maximum the torrent files are downloading at is only up to 101 kbps when my internet connection is 26 mbps.

Is there some way I can maximize this? Or is this happening because I use a Linksys modem? Will the Torrents download faster if I connect to a Lan or is this the same as WiFi?

Thanks.

You can use QoS on your network and reduce the bandwidth wars between programs and your wireless devices. You can get faster download speeds. Here's a quick overview and tutorial: http://goo.gl/1iy5p

Select the torrent with the highest amount of seeds... more seeds : higher speed at downloading!! try demonoid or btjunkie.org for good torrent files..
