Hello to you all. I need help on downgrading windows 7 to Vista.

I have found my drivers are lost and deleted. The other problem is I just upgraded Windows XP to Windows 7 without backing up my drivers. Now I am losing Internet and can't connect by LAN, but everything still works over WiFi.

I found my motherboard's disc that came along with the Vista drivers. Now my only problem is downgrading to Vista. I am currently downloading Windows Vista Home Premium x86 ISO and I'm about to burn it to disc now. What remains is downgrading Windows 7 to Vista.

Help is well-appreciated!

PS: I found drivers for my graphics card and LAN drivers (downloaded).

Two points. First, unless your hardware is older than 5 years, there should be Win7-specific drivers for its components. Second, if, for whatever reason, you cannot find Windows 7 drivers for anything, use the Vista drivers instead since the WDM did not change between the two versions. When doing a binary comparison of drivers that were download for Vista and Windows 7, I have yet to find one that is actually different. Most manufacturers only have a single download file for both Vista and 7 and those that are offering different files for them are merely distributing them with different names but identical contents. So, before taking the performance hit you will get with a downgrade, first try to find Windows 7 drivers, then Vista drivers and use them under Windows 7 first. If you are still having problems after that, then go the extra step and downgrade to Vista (though you will probably still see the same or similar problems as well as suffering the overall performance hit).

Before rushing to downgrade to Vista, check to see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your motherboard. I usually find that googling "MOBO driver windows 7" (replace "MOBO" with the actual motherboard's model) works very well for finding suitable drivers, often from the manufacturer's site. If you can get the drivers, you'll get better performance and save yourself the work of rebuilding the computer.
