I had to run TinyUmbrella TSS mode and had to put the iPad in pwned DFU (or get error 1600). The iPad goes to 4.3.3, but doesn't reboot at the end, just stays on black screen (DFU mode?).
I tried a bunch of recovery fixes at this point - all did nothing. The only way to make it reboot is to "just boot" from redsn0w 0.9.9, but then I have to boot it tethered every time, which I don't want (I travel with it).
I put 4.3.5 back and its fine now, but I'd like to go to 4.3.3 untethered.

You probably have done it the very same way but I suggest to follow or the guide located
here
.Usually you neither need
pwned
DFU mode (the normal one should be sufficient) nor do you have to use any Jailbreak. If your iPad stays on the black screen after a successful restore you usually just need to hold the Sleep/Wake + Home button for a few seconds until the device restarts.
