Have a read at the below comment from a forum user -
" ..... Amazon uses UPS for shipping. There is a distinction to be made between ordering "through" Amazon and "from" Amazon. If you purchased from a third party who is using Amazon as their online store, then it's possible that the parcel might be delivered through other methods (FedEx / DHL / USPS). If you purchased "from" Amazon, then in all likelihood they will use UPS for delivery. It's possible to track your package through Amazon by going to "My Account" and then clicking on "Track packages." This should give you more information on the shipping method and expected delivery time. You'll be able to verify that it's UPS or other delivery method.[do I need to be home for them?]It depends on where you live. If you reside in a suburban area, then often times the UPS driver will simply leave the package at your door and you will not be required to sign. If you live in an apartment complex or urban area, then it's more likely they'll leave a sticky note indicating that delivery was attempted. In the event of the sticky note, they can try to redeliver or you can go to the UPS distribution center for your area to pick it up.If you know that you will definitely NOT be home and you trust your neighbor, then you can leave a note on your mailbox / door stating that your neighbor will sign and receive the package. I've done it on several occasions.I hope this helps.Sources: My opinion
