OSX Lion only runs on intel

But Apple is going toward AMD, and Hackintoshes running AMD processors have been around for awhile now... It really comes down to kexts and a patched kernel, even for Lion.

Apple is only using AMD ATI graphics cards. The processors are Intel or IBM PowerPC for legacy devices.Therefor Hackintoshs with AMD are very hard to get running

Yes, but Apple is considering using AMD processors as well, some say it is becuase of Intels UltraBook program competing against the Macbook Air. But Officially yes, Apple only uses Intel processors currently. OS X can support AMD processors though, The OS is not specifically tied to Intel processors...

This is difficult to answer because AMD and Intel processors are generally similar, but very different when viewed closely. In general terms, both are x86 processors and almost all products from both Intel and AMD support 64-bit, which means both processors can run the same software. Both companies make multi-core processors, and both companies offers integrated graphics solutions. However, the processors use different architectures. This means that they fit into different processor sockets and, as a result, require different motherboards. In addition, Intel's architecture and production process is better, which is why modern Intel processors are generally quicker. If you want more information, I suggest you check out some recent processor reviews from an enthusiast hardware site like PC Perspective: http://pcper.com/reviews/processors

You can't draw a general difference between Intel and AMD processors. That's like apples and oranges... You can only compare individual processor models and version to each other in their specifications and using benchmarks.
