I am using Windows XP SP2 and I was copying some folders to my external hard drive. Suddenly he copy failed and a folder of wallpapers just appeared in the external drive. When I try to delete it, I just get "cannot delete wallpapers, this directory is not empty." Why won't it delete and how can I get rid of it? It is annoying.

As I said :install unlocker and then update me.http://www.emptyloop.com/unlockerWhenever you fail to delete something (or rename or move) it will unlock the file from the process to enable deletion.

Hello, have you restarted your computer since the copy/transfer stop?  Try doing that.  Most times when you can not delete a folder or files it is because the process is still active.  I would also delete temporary files.  You could try opening the folder and delete the files one by one.  Once folder is empty, you could delete the folder.
