I have maybe 10,000 files that are asking for permission to delete. If I grant permission manually to each one of them it will take me months to delete all of them. So any ideas how to delete all of the files, quickly?

What kind of files are they 10,000 is quite a large number of files, if Windows needs them and you delete them then it's goodbye to Windows as it will be unusable. If the files are nor needed just drag them all into one folder then highlite it right click it then delete it

Those files might also be having read only or hidden attributes. So,select all those files and remove those attributes by right clicking on it and going to properties and untick read only and hidden. If some files doesn't wants to get deleted, then they might be used up by some process so save your work related to that process and terminate it using task manager.

Start in safe mode, or command prompt mode if possible, you'll be able to delete them all.

When you say "asking for permission" are you referring to the confirmation dialogue from the Recycle Bin? Does it say "Are you sure you want to delete this file"?If so you can, as already explained select multiple files and delete them which will result in you only getting asked once or you can turn off the confirmation notice completely by right clicking on the recycle bin and choosing 'Properties'. You will then see the confirmation check box, just uncheck it then click OK. You can now delete files etc without the dialogue popping up each time asking "Are you Sure".

what u mean by that? did the item asking itself to u to del itself or u just want to del it on ur own and each file asking for permission to del it? it u said u want to del it and every single file is asking for permission, then i think, below the popup windows it always have this option, "do this to all of this kind" or similiar to it that enable u to press once permission and all item will have same permission to del itself. or just try this software to unlock all item and del it in once step. http://www.filehippo.com/download_unlocker/ this was a awesome ultilitise that help u del, rename, move any files that need permission or been locked by virus or system.

Why not just do a Ctrl+A combination to select all, then Delete?
