I have Windows 7 and Ubuntu Ultimate Edition on my laptop. When I copy data on my other partition, i.e. the D drive in Windows on laptop, and after restarting try to access it from Windows it gets corrupted. Why so? And what's the solution?

Be aware that windows 7 uses "extra" caching capabilities that could be the source of your problem. You have to be a little more specific, though, whether you are trying to copy windows-specific, i.e. ntfs or fat32 data, to a what kind of partition, your D drive, and from where , from an ubuntu-accessed ext2, ext3, or whatnot... please provide more details so I can give you a more correct answer
