For some reason, ctrl+a will no longer highlight all items for selection in Windows Explorer. If I use ctrl+shift+a it will work like ctrl+a used to. Why has the hotkey changed?

Also check if you have your sticky keys enabledWindows 7 has this Lock modifier keys when pressed twice in a row.Found under Start -> type sticky keys -> enter -> Set up sticky keys -> uncheck that option if it is enabled.
