I am trying to create a small home server. So I am following one web article as reference.
In that he mentioned to change the default setting (dynamic IP address) to static IP address, but I am using a Tata Photon+ dongle to connect to the Internet. In that it's not allowing me to change it to a static IP address or manual IP address settings.
So please help me how to change my DHCP to a static IP address?
Thanks in advance!!!!!

As Hovsep says, if you connect your server directly to the internet (rather than through a router), your ISP must provide you with the static address. You would still be using DHCP, but every time your server asks for an IP address it would receive the same one.

To get Static IP (SIP) you must contact your ISPalso do provide the link of the article.
