I wanted to know how can we create background textures and/or images for a website? Also, how can we create other images like logos and images and icons for websites? Please help!

What I use myself:For different web design images > Adobe PhotoshopFor logos > Adobe IllustratorYou can also use Corel Draw, or even Adobe inDesign for more advanced images.. (I can't speak a lot for those, since I use only photoshop and illustrator.. But, anyway, I'm pretty happy with them.. So U recommend them to you too..)

Try GIMP (www.gimp.org). It is similar to Photoshop but more simple and easy to work with (opinion). I use this for my designs (although not specific to logo designing).
