I have got Acer Aspire 5052. I want to convert it into Media PC with following features:

1. Quickest boot

2. Media PC features

3. Inbulilt ATI catalyst or equivalant driver which support S-video TV out

4. Quick browsing option

5. Preferably runs dual boot with Windows XP

MUO Article about 5 great Linux Media Center Distributionshttp://www.makeuseof.com/tag/5-great-linux-media-cente-distributions-transform-tv/a lot more about Media Center here on MUOhttp://www.makeuseof.com/tags/media-center/There is no "ultimate Media Center" software or distribution... each of different features and do them sometimes better, sometimes not so good.Whether your S-Video out will work is something you have to test yourself.Besides of that I really don't see the point of setting up a fully featured media center on a notebook with a Windows XP dual-boot option.If you don't commit to using the media center you are better of using your favorite media player software e.g. VLC and just let the video run on the S-Video OUT connected device.
