Printed photos bring the most cherished moments back to life. Although you can digitally save and share images, digital photos can never totally replace the nostalgia that a physical printed photo brings.

To savor your favorite memories, you can transfer them from your phone to your home. With the help of Google Photos, you can print out your favorite photos.

You can either order a monthly subscription of photos, or print them out individually. Here, we'll show you how to do both.

How to Order Google Photos Premium Prints

Google launched an initiative, called premium prints, taking Google Photos to yet another level. At a reasonably low price of $6.99/month, the company will send you 10 high-quality 4x6 inch photo prints every month.

Google Photos uses machine learning to recommend 10 of the best photos to print. This makes premium prints such a remarkable service, as you don't necessarily have to pick your images. Instead, Google, with the help of AI, assists you in choosing which images are worth saving.

Here's how to sign up for a premium prints subscription on Google Photos.

  1. Head to the Premium Prints page on Google Photos, and choose Sign up now.

  3. Choose the paper finish and border according to your preferences. You can also choose to get the date printed on the back of the photo and even convert it into a postcard.
Choose from glossy and matte finish and whether you want a border on Google Photos Premium Print Series.
  4. Click on Next to see a selection of photos suggested by Google. If you don't like the selection, you can replace the photos by clicking on Replace under each photo. You can also edit your photos by adding filters to them.

  5. Finally, after you have chosen the pictures you would like to get printed, choose Next again to go to the checkout page. Fill in the details, and your order will reach you in 10 to 14 business days.

Google Photos' premium prints service is quite flexible, and you can also choose to skip a month if you don't want any photos in that particular time frame.

If you're wondering how exactly Google selects your photos, it does so by analyzing your past behavior. The following categories influence its selection:

  • Favorited photos
  • Recently-edited photos
  • Photos with high resolution
  • Photos with featured people or pets

But if you don't like what Google picked, you're free to edit your photo selection.

Google Photos also sends warning messages for images that are of low resolution. So although you can still print the photos, the quality you will receive may be blurry and dull.

To collect your photo from a store, you have to show the worker your order number and contact information as verification. You'll have to pay for your photo prints at the store.
