I'm using a Seagate SATA hard disk 250 GB, 3.5" form factor, NTFS formatted.

Through speccy I saw the following information-

Read Error Rate 116 (100 worst) Data 0006FCB9C5

Temperature 50 °C

I saw online that Saegate says that if a hard disk is operated in within range from 50 - 55 ° C the hard disk will die slowly and will eventually fail.

Sometimes the temperature raises to 52 °C.What should be done in that case?

I run CCleaner daily and defraggler once a week.I analysed on running defraggler that only 151 MB size is fragmented on C drive.Last time I had formatted my HDD is on August 2010.

To ensure smooth HDD performance, run diskcleanups regularly. Make sure the fragmentation is under control. You could invest in a good autoamtic real time defrag program that will utilize the idle resources and defrag in the background.
