correct!And it doesn't matter what type of battery you have. Some batteries suffer from memory effect, caused by recharging it while it's not drained yet (Nickel-Cadmium), others are damaged by heat (Lithium-ion), and all batteries have limited charge-uncharge cycles.So if you have AC power available, remove your battery and run your laptop on AC power only. Use the battery only if there is no AC power
or
